As an Emerging Playwright, in 2020 Ash took part in Outburst Arts’ inaugural ‘Transforming Stages’ programme, for which she wrote Good Morning Human for a rehearsed reading in the Black Box, Belfast. You can view Good Morning Human here.

The next year, she was accepted onto the NIO’s ’21 Artists for the 21st Century’ artist development programme, writing anti-establishment play How Do You Bleed? for a production directed by Emily Foran. In 2022, she wrote, produced and starred in Save Our Games! a fiction podcast about video games criticism released in March with the support of the Arts Council Northern Ireland.

Ash also co-developed Rory Jones: Return of the Wizword for a run at 2018’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and wrote the outline for Strange New Places’ Mr. Gumble music video in 2019.

In 2021, she graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with a First in Drama & Film Studies, receiving the Tyrone Guthrie Prize for highest marks in her graduating year. Her university work included the solo performance project High & Lowly/Green Banks, which saw her play an incarcerated version of her future self.

She has also worked in non-fiction, publishing pieces for BrightGreen.org and for OpenDemocracy between 2016-17.
